Go to War for Your Goals
If you’ve ever had a coach before you know how impactful they can be.
A good coach knows a balance between comfort and discomfort. There has to be both..
People can’t adapt and grow if they aren’t pushed to an uncomfortable place first.
The art of coaching comes down to a couple important factors – does the client:
– Feel led which is why they ultimately signed up
– Feel accomplished with manageable tasks vs overwhelmed
– Feel a sense of autonomy along the way so their journey is sustainable in the future
Coaching should never be:
– A one-sided decision making process
– A pass / fail interaction
– Done without constant communication
True progress can be achieved with the help of a coach if the relationship is of mutual respect. Both parties need to have a true stake in the process and want the outcome equally.
If you are deciding on working with a coach, an acronym you can ask yourself is “Are you ready to go to WAR for your goal?” WILLING, ABLE, READY.
If you are, a coach can be the resource to bridge the gap between a dream and a reality.
Both jobs require a LOT of work.
Just some food for thought.
XOXO, Coach D
